Nestled among the lush landscapes of Langkawi lies a marvel of modern engineering and natural beauty - the Eagle's Nest Skywalk. As the latest addition to the island's plethora of attractions, this skywalk is poised to redefine the way visitors experience the breathtaking vistas of Langkawi.

Officially opening to the public on March 10th, 2024, the Eagle’s Nest Skywalk is a celebration of homegrown talent, a project entirely inspired, designed, and constructed by the skilled hands of Kedah’s locals.

Highlights of Eagle's Nest Skywalk

Perched atop the majestic Gunung Machinchang, 645 meters above the sea, the skywalk offers an unparalleled view of the island’s verdant landscape and the sparkling Andaman Sea. The design takes inspiration from Langkawi’s iconic eagle, symbolizing freedom and the heights of achievement. The structure itself is a feat of engineering, boasting the world’s longest free-standing glass sky deck. Spanning 38 meters in length, it allows up to 300 visitors at a time to walk among the clouds, offering a bird's eye view that stretches across the horizon.

This project was not without its challenges; initiated in 2019, it faced unforeseen delays due to the global pandemic. Yet, the determination and resilience of the team saw the project through to completion, a testament to the spirit of the Kedah community. The Chief Minister of Kedah has expressed immense pride in this achievement, highlighting it as an example of local capability and innovation.

Beyond its architectural marvel, the Eagle’s Nest Skywalk represents a significant boost for Langkawi’s tourism sector. It's expected to attract more visitors, drawn by the promise of spectacular views and the thrill of standing over the world’s longest cantilever bridge. The skywalk is not just a viewing platform; it's an interactive experience that connects visitors with the natural and cultural heritage of Langkawi.
