Hutan ini menjadi tempat tinggal bagi Sang Kelembai, pencerita lagenda yang terkenal dan penjaga Dream Forest. Akar dan bijinya merentasi di seluruh hutan untuk melindungi para pelancong yang berjalan di laluan malam, sambil mereka tenggelam dalam kisah-kisah yang menakjubkan.

Beberapa legenda yang dapat pengunjung alami di Dream Forest Langkawi termasuk:

• Kisah Puteri Dayang Bunting, seorang puteri raksasa yang dikatakan mengandung selama 7 tahun.

• Kisah Tun Teja, seorang puteri cantik yang diculik oleh Gergasi-Gergasi di Langkawi.

• Kisah Merong Mahawangsa, pengasas Langkawi.
