The Langkawi Half Marathon (or “Langkawi International Half Marathon”) invites participants to test their limits and race on one of Malaysia’s most scenic islands. The Langkawi International Half Marathon 2025 is scheduled to take place on 6 December 2025 (Saturday). 

The main category is the half-marathon (21.1 km), but a 10 km option is also available. The combination of island scenery such as turquoise waters and lush greenery makes it a standout among regional running events. 

There will be several money prizes given to the top 3 winners of the half marathon (international category) while prizes are given to the top 10 winners for the half marathon (Malaysia open category). For 10km winners, there will be top 5 winners for both categories. 

Each runner is entitled to receive several entitlements based on each category.

Marathon Categories

The main race categories of the Langkawi International Half Marathon 2025 are: 

• Half-Marathon (21.1 km): This is the main category for the Langkawi Half Marathon 2025. The categories are separated into three, which are, international, male/female open and male/female senior open. 
• 10km: A shorter distance and offers three categories which are, international, male/female open and male/female senior open.
